1. Who is responsible for your data?

This policy explains what personal data I collect through rosebutcher.com, why I collect it, and how it is used.
2. Data I collect
- Name and email address: collected when you book a call, request an AI Visibility Snapshot, or make an enquiry about a service.
- Project information you share: details about your business, existing website and goals, provided during a call or by email. Used only to scope and deliver your service.
- Payment information: invoices are arranged after a call and paid via a third-party payment provider or bank transfer. I do not store your card or bank details.
- IP address and browser data: collected automatically for security and analytics via Vercel infrastructure and Google Analytics 4.
3. Why I collect it (lawful basis)
- Contract performance: name, email and project information are required to quote, scope and deliver the AI visibility service you purchase.
- Consent: email address for marketing communications. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking Unsubscribe in any email or by emailing me directly.
- Legitimate interests: analytics to understand site performance and which content is useful to visitors.
4. Third parties I share data with
- Calendly: call booking. Receives your name and email when you book a discovery call. Calendly Privacy Policy.
- Payment provider: where you pay an invoice online, a third-party payment provider processes the transaction and receives the payment details needed to complete it. I will confirm the provider on your invoice.
- Vercel: site hosting. May collect anonymised usage data. Vercel Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics 4: optional analytics, loaded with Consent Mode v2 set to denied by default. Only collects data and sets cookies after you click Accept on the consent banner. IP anonymisation enabled. Google Privacy Policy.
I do not sell your data to third parties. Information you submit during an audit or monitoring engagement is treated confidentially and is never shared with third parties except where necessary to deliver the service or where required by law. Where I carry out white label work, that work remains confidential.
5. Data retention
- Project correspondence and briefs: retained for the duration of the project plus 12 months, then deleted unless you request otherwise.
- Marketing email list: retained until you unsubscribe. Inactive subscribers purged annually.
- Payment records: retained for 7 years in compliance with HMRC requirements.
6. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the personal data I hold about you, to data portability, and to withdraw marketing consent at any time.
To exercise any right, email rose@rosebutcher.com. I will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO.
